Unfortunately, Facebook doesn’t make it easy to download videos. You can’t simply right-click on a video and select “Save As” like you can with other types of files. However, there are a few methods you can use to download Facebook videos. We’ll show you how to do it using two different methods.
Method #1: Use a Facebook Video Downloader Extension
The first method we’ll show you how to use is by installing a browser extension. There are various extensions available depending on which browser you use, but we recommend FB Down Video Downloader for Google Chrome and Video DownloadHelper for Mozilla Firefox. Once installed, follow the steps below:
Step 1: Navigate to the Facebook video you want to download and play it. Make sure that the extension icon is visible in your browser’s toolbar. For our example, we’ll be using FB Down Video Downloader for Google Chrome. The extension icon is the blue down arrow in the image below.
Method #2: Use a Web-Based Facebook Video Downloader Tool (No Extension Required)
If you don’t want to install an extension, or if your browser isn’t compatible with any of the ones we mentioned above, don’t worry—there are web-based tools that will let you download Facebook videos as well. One of our favorites is SaveAs . It works with all major browsers and doesn’t require any installation whatsoever. Follow the steps below to get started:
Navigate to saveas . io/ in your browser of choice and enter the URL of the video you want to download into the bar at the top of their homepage (as seen in the image below).
Click on “Download Video."Depending on your browser settings, you may get a pop-up asking if you wish to allow SaveAs access to your computer – select “Allow" or “Yes" so that it can continue downloading the video file onto your computer conclusion: Those are two different methods that you can use to download Facebook videos onto your computer so that you can watch them offline or share them with others later. Keep in mind that while these methods will work most of the time, there are certain circumstances where they may not – such as if the user has set restrictions so that their video cannot be downloaded by anyone else.
